The Protective Bar Cover is designed to be used with the Adjustable Trapeze Bar or Recreational Rings. This suede-lined bar pad has an outer layer of heavy-duty vinyl and attaches to the host bar with Velcro. The suede is ideal for holding tight to the bar while the vinyl provides a smooth layer for the webbing to shift and move as the athlete uses the Adjustable Trapeze Bar or Rings.
The Protective Bar Cover allows you to adapt your bar set to a swinging station without disrupting the chalk build up that is present for many on their competition rails. This cover will absorb the friction the webbing creates when using the Adjustable Trapeze Bar or Recreational Rings.
- Measures 6-in wide.
- Durable Velcro secures the bar cover to the rail..
- Designed with an additional Velcro flap to keep the webbing in place on the pad.
- Sold in pairs.
-
The Protective Bar Pad is intended to be attached securely on the rail. The webbing on the Adjustable Trapeze Bar and Recreational Rings should glide over the smooth vinyl surface of the Bar Pad.
-
Using the Protective Bar Pad is optional. The Adjustable Trapeze Bar and Recreational Rings can be used directly on Uneven Bar or Parallel Bar rails. Note that using the webbing directly on the bar will cause for disruption of chalk layers on a rail.
-
Check for wear on webbing, the Protective Bar Cover or the rail often, which will vary depending on frequency of use.
Can I use the Protective Bar Cover with hanging products other than the Adjustable Trapeze?
Yes, Tumbl Trak Rings will work well with the Protective Bar Cover as well as our 9’ Strap Extensions.
Is the Protective Bar Cover washable?
Use a damp cloth to wipe soil from the vinyl. A stiff wire brush can help remove debris from the velcro. We do not recommend machine washing the Protective Bar Cover.
Is the Protective Bar Cover meant to be tight or loose on the bar?
We designed the Bar Cover to fit snug to the bar. The straps from the swinging apparatus should move freely over the vinyl surface with the cover staying in place. However, feel free to choose what use works best for your bar set up!
How do I know when it’s time to replace the Protective Bar Cover?
Inspect the bar cover for wear and tear. The surfaces on the Bar Cover are meant to absorb the friction of using suspended equipment and will get worn more quickly with frequent use and need replacing. Any holes or tears are an indicator to replace your Protective Bar Covers.
Can I use the Adjustable Trapeze or Rec Rings without the Protective Bar Covers?
Yes, the Protective Bar Covers are optional and intended to reduce the wear and tear on a bar and minimize the affect of stripping chalk from the bar. Feel free to use the Trapeze or Rings directly on your bar if you choose but inspect the bar often for wear.
If I leave the Adjustable Trapeze or Rec Rings on the same bar all the time will this damage my bar?
The more rigorous the use, the more frequent the need to inspect equipment for wear and tear as well as replace when needed. We recommend moving swinging elements frequently to distribute wear and tear.
